Ozil of Arsenal  dribbles the Ludogorets keeper before slotting in his superb goal

Arsenal came from behind to cancel a two-goal deficit at Vasil Levski in Bulgaria on Tuesday and snatch vital three points with a superb run by playmaker, Mesut Ozil in the 88th minute.

Arsenal have now qualified for the round of 16,  of the Champions League,  after beating Ludogorets Razgrad 3-2.

The Londoners with superior goal difference, qualified with  Paris Saint Germain who beat Basel away 2-1. Both teams share same 10 points and have two inconsequential matches pending.

In Manchester, City thrashed visiting Barcelona 3-1, despite the parade of their lethal strikers of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.

Messi opened scoring in the 21st minute, putting Barca ahead. But 18 minutes after, Ilkay Guendogan equalised for the hosts.

Kevin de Bruyne scored city’s second goal in the 51st minute, before Guendogan made it a brace in the 74th minute, totally putting the match out of  Barcelona’s reach.

In Bulgaria, Arsenal survived a scare early in the game when Jonathan Cafu and Claudiu Keseru shot Ludogorets Ratzgrad ahead within first fifteen minutes of play.

On October 19, Arsenal had thrashed the same team 6-0 at the Emirates.

In the 20 minute, Arsenal found the net with Granit Xhaka scoring. Olivier Giroud made the team to level up in the 42nd minute.

Ludogorets kept harassing  Arsenal with counter-attacks in the second half, but it was left to Mesut Oezil to define the final shape of the game, when he gave Arsenal a vital goal in the 88th minute.

Meanwhile Bayern Munich are through to the second round after Match Day 4.

Like Arsenal, they came from behind  in Eindhoven to beat PSV 2-1 and qualify for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League with two games to spare.

The hosts took the lead early on when Santiago Arias headed in on the rebound after Davy Pröpper’s close-range effort was expertly saved by Manuel Neuer.

Bayern were unfazed by the early setback and equalised when Robert Lewandowski converted from the penalty spot after Andrés Guardado was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box.

The comeback was completed late in the second half when Lewandowski capped off a fine move with a simple finish from six metres out.

Atletico Madrid are also through to the round of 16. The finalists last season beat FC Rostov 2-1, bagging the maximum 12 points in four matches in Group D.
