Nigeria’s Dream Team VI are through to the semi-finals of the Rio Olympics soccer tournament. And their opponent will be Germany who whacked Portugal 4-0 in the first quarter-final of the day.

Nigeria which led Group B in the preliminaries beat Denmark 2-0. Thanks to goals scored in each half by Captain Mikel Obi in the 16th and Aminu Umar in the 59th minute.

The match will be played at Arena Corinthians, Sao Paulo on Wednesday 17 August.

South Korea will meet Honduras and hosts Brazil will face Colombia to decide the second semi-final pairing.

Nigeria won the gold in 1996 Atlanta Olympics and are hoping to reenact the feat, 20 years later.
