In another hair-raising sting operation, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday uncovered another stash of foreign currencies and Naira notes in Lagos, the third operation in less than a week.
And big thanks to whistleblowers.
At the end of counting, the sums stood at $43.4 million, £27,800 and N23.2 million, the commission said in a statement on its Facebook page.
This time, the monies were found in a four-bedroom apartment on the 7th floor of a residential building at Osborne Towers located at 16, Osborne Road, Ikoyi.
The owner is yet to come forward, but unconfirmed reports said the money may be owned by a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.
