Inalegwu Odeh, a former journalist with the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA has not been found since he was declared missing January.
He left his home in Makurdi on 6 January for a road walk. He has not been seen since then.
Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue today asked security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation to unravel Odeh’s whereabouts.
Ortom gave the task on Monday in Makurdi when Odeh’s family, led by Mr Okpachi Odeh, visited him and tendered the complaints of their missing brother.
The governor described Odeh as a vibrant man who had the development of his state at heart. Ortom recalled that Odeh had advised him on one or two occasions on pertinent issues.
He said that he was saddened over the news of his disappearance, stressing that he was trusting God that he would be found alive.
The governor encouraged people of the state to report to security agencies when they come across any corpse. Earlier, the leader of the delegation said that they came to inform the governor that their brother had been missing since Jan. 6.
He said that all efforts to unravel his whereabouts had not yielded any positive result.
He appealed to the governor to direct the security agencies to intensity efforts in order to unravel the whereabouts of their brother.
