The Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) has inaugurated its Ijumu Local Government executives at the newly acquired party secretariat in Iyara, Kogi state.
The new executives were charged to begin massive registration of members within the local government.
Speaking with our correspondents in Kogi, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Tosin Adeyanju, said that the party would break jinx of bad leadership in the state.
Adeyanju who represented National Chairman, called on all its members in the council areas, senatorial districts, state and country to brace up for admirable development in the next political dispensation.
NAN reports that the inauguration was attended by all the local government executives, ward chairmen and secretaries, women leaders, youth leaders and party leaders across the 15 wards of Ijumu local government.
Adeyanju said that the inauguration has brought new hope to the entire state as it would bring an end to non-payment of workers’ salaries and pensions.
He charged the newly inaugurated executives to begin mobilisation and registration of new members from the unit to state levels ahead the 2019 elections.
He expressed confidence that the party would win the current governor in a credible election because of the bad governance that he had demonstrated.
Responding, the party chairman in the local government, Rev. Rowland Awotimehin, thanked the party hierarchy for the confidence reposed in him and promised to deliver the local government to the party come 2019.
He appealed to all inaugurated executives to be loyal and work hard for the success of the party at all levels of governance.
