The body of Mr Morgan Tsvangirai, Zimbabwe’s opposition leader is expected to arrive in Harare today.
Tsvangirai was the leader of MDC-T. He died of colon cancer in South Africa on Wednesday.
He will be buried at his rural home at Humanikwa Village, Buhera, on Monday, according to his younger brother, Collins.
A memorial service was held in Johannesburg on Saturday, for the politician, who once served as Prime Minister under former President Robert Mugabe, between 2009 and 2013.
Collins thanked President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government for providing financial assistance during the time his brother was admitted to hospital and after his demise. Mnangagwa has also promised to accord the politician a state burial.
“We are grateful to the Government for its financial assistance,” he told the Zimbabwe Herald.
