Nigeria’s Super Eagles smash Togo in friendly

The Super Eagles in Paris on Thursday

 Nigeria cruised past Togo 3-0 in an international friendly played at the Stade Municipal de Saint Leu La Foret, Paris today.

Ahmed Musa struck twice in 15 minutes to put Nigeria ahead. Kelechi Iheanacho slotted in the third goal at close range after an Etebo pass.

Musa who plays for  Leicester City was unimposing in the Super Eagles 1-1 draw with Corcisa, but today he compensated Nigeria with a beautiful performance.

Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi also impressed with two assists as the Super Eagles raced into a 3-0 lead on only 27 minutes.

Musa put Nigeria ahead on three minutes, tapping into the net after the goalkeeper spilled Iwobi’s cross.

A future Arsenal  team-mate of Iwobi, Henry Onyekuru, also featured in the game on Thursday.

The Gunners have agreed to pay £6.8million for the 19-year-old Eupen forward, who came on as a substitute, though the player has yet to agree personal terms.
