Ibrahimovic snatches a point for Man U

A lack lustre Manchester City went for the mauling today at Everton, going down 0-4.

At Old Trafford however, Manchester United managed to share points with Liverpool, thanks to the 84th minute goal by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The match between Everton and Man City at Goodison Park was played first, with the Pep Guardiola boys collapsing to record a massive loss.

Tom Davies and Ademola Lookman scored their first Premier League goals for Everton.

Eighteen-year-old Davies was involved in the opener when he played a perfectly weighted ball to Kevin Mirallas, who cut back for Romelu Lukaku to score on 34 minutes.

Mirallas then made it 2-0 after being played in by Ross Barkley shortly after half-time. After surging forward and beating two defenders with a clever flick, Davies then chipped over Claudio Bravo following Ross Barkley’s pass for the third.

Debutants Morgan Schneiderlin and Lookman came on as substitutes, and the latter scored after John Stones’ attempted clearance rebounded into his path.

Everton remain seventh, nine points adrift of Manchester City.

Manchester United and Liverpool were both bruised in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. Although United would have loved to bag the match and keep the pressure on the first four teams, they still found themselves rooted in the sixth position.

Liverpool which opened scoring in the 27th minute with a James Milner goal, gave away their lead in the 84th minute with a Zlatan Ibrahimovic equaliser.

The game left Liverpool in the third position on the League table, although tied on 45 points with second placed Tottenham Hotspur. Chelsea which beat reigning champions Leicester City 3-0 on Saturday are seven points in front, with 52 points. Arsenal are fourth with 44 points.
