President Buhari and Governor Ortom

President Muhammadu Buhari has continued his tour of states in the country, with a visit to Benue State where he will discuss issues of security with stakeholders in affected communities.

The visit is expected to engender a better relationship between the state and the Federal Government.

*Justice Chile Eboe-Osuji, a Nigerian, has been elected president of the International Criminal Court with immediate effect.

Eboe-Osuji was elected for a three-year term by other Judges of the court during plenary.

*No fewer than 17 people onboard a Bangladesh Airline have been rescued while 49 others have been confirmed dead.

The aircraft, with 67 passengers and four crew members on board, crashed on Monday while trying to land at the airport in the Nepali capital, Kathmandu.

*French Fashion icon, Hubert Taffin de Givenchy, has died at the age of 91, his partner, Philippe Venet has announced.

Givenchy was most famous for his couture creations for Jackie Kennedy and actress Audrey Hepburn.
